What Happens to All Those Beads After Mardi Gras?

Soulard has a recycling program for all your bead. I know I have bags of beads from years past. I wear the big fancy one again. But the traditional beads just stay in a bad in a storage bin somewhere. Guess it would be nice to give them a second chance at another parade.

Stlmardigras.org encourages you to drop off your beads in a bucket at one of the following location;

St. Louis Earth Day - Recycling Extravaganza

Soulard Farmers Market

Joanie's and Joanie's To Go

Shameless Grounds

Great Grizzly Bear

Here's what a store in New Orleans is do to give their beads a second life.
