Woodstock 50 is Not Happening

Any dreams you may have had about attending the 50th Anniversary Woodstock Festival are crushed now. After much back and forth, location changes, artists dropping out, it's officially cancelled.

One of the key organizers, Michael Lang says, "we are saddened that a series of unforeseen setbacks has made it impossible to put on the festival we imagined."

Lang says the artists that were fully paid are encouraged to donate ten percent of their fee to an organization that registers voters at concerts or any organization in the spirit of peace.

The original idea was to unite millennials and baby boomers by celebrating the artists that performed at the original event in 1969 with current generation artists Jay-Z and Miley Cyrus, among others, performing.

In any case, festival business is difficult and it seems as though the intention and heart was in the right place.
